The Top 4 Ways to Avoid Procrastination | Fearfully Fashioned #procrastination #discipline #goalsetting #FearfullyFashioned

Every now and then we all suffer from some form of procrastination. Regardless of whether the task is big or small, procrastination is one of the biggest reasons why a lot of people aren’t getting things done. Whether it’s  homework, household chores, or working out, procrastination can snowball into a huge problem if it gets out of control. How many times have you found yourself stressed or in a tizzy all because you put something off?

Procrastination can affect all areas of our lives from relationships, finances, career, and even health. No matter who you are, it is inevitable that you will have to deal with some form of procrastination. It can be challenging to battle, but it can be overcome. Here are some ways that you can avoid procrastination:

Identify the common reasons why you procrastinate.

Majority of the time there is an eternal reason as to why we are procrastinating. Whether you feel like you lack the energy, or you're afraid of getting started, pinpoint the true reason of your procrastination.

Develop a game plan to attack and further prevent the issue.

Sometimes procrastination happens from underestimating the amount of time it will take to complete a task. This is where discernment and planning go hand in hand.

Treat yo self!

It’s so much easier to get things done when you can see a reward at the end of the tunnel. Put reward systems in place for once you’ve finished everything on your list.

Remember grace, grace, grace.

Just like you would show grace to others, show grace to yourself! You will have an off day every now and then, and that’s okay. Each moment you have an opportunity to start new.

I know that beating procrastination is easier said than done. That's why I've taken the time to create a guide for you to develop discipline and eliminate procrastination. (Please note: If you are already subscribed to my list, this mini workbook is available in the Resource Closet.)
